I’ve broken down the science on everything from protein and antibiotics to training techniques, run form, and body fat loss. I’ve interviewed athletes, everyday runners, celebrities, and women helping to change the world. I’ve tested intermittent fasting and resistance leggings, and I’ve scoped out huts in the backcountry. I’ve also had way too much fun writing about something as simple as how to cut veggies (RIP Game of Thrones).

I’m passionate about sharing factual, helpful, and engaging information that advances the conversation and clears up confusion, whether that’s on health, fitness, nutrition, self-care, or feminism. I’m also driven to help individuals in one-on-one and group fitness settings find their strength. I’d love to tell your story or help you write a new chapter, featuring a steady exercise routine. Send me a note—let’s get to work!

For a little more background on yours truly… I'm a health and fitness editor, and ACE-certified personal trainer living in PA—more specifically, the cute neighborhood of Easton in the Lehigh Valley. I back to Pennsylvania after more than a decade in the Big Apple, where I moved after graduation from Syracuse University.

I currently work at Runner’s World and Bicycling publications, leading the health & fitness team. Before that, I freelance wrote for Health, Men’s Journal, Shape, Insider, and Livestrong (to name a few). And I also pen a newsletter, called The Final Rep, all about fitness. (Click here to subscribe.)

I've previously worked as an editor at Life by Daily Burn. Before that, I was associate health editor at Family Circle magazine and I worked on staff at Shape magazine for four and a half years.

When I'm not writing about fitness, I'm leading others through personal training and semi-private training online. (Let’s train together!)

I clearly have a strong draw toward movement, not just for the physical health benefits, but the confidence boost, community, and those dang endorphins. When I’m not at my computer, I’m probably very literally running or riding around PA or NYC. Or I’m doing workouts with the teams Future, Peloton, Inner Shift Fitness, and more.

My other obsessions: Carrots (yes, that would be my fave food), romcoms (yes, I’ve probably seen it), Justin Bieber acoustic performances (YouTube them!), SATC and Carrie Bradshaw's shoe collection (though I'd trade those stilettos for sneakers).

I ran my first marathon in NYC in 2016 and it was perhaps one of the best days of my life. (I blogged about it a few times here.) Since then, I’ve also run the Philly 26.2, hiked two 14ers in Colorado, managed to cross the finish line of two sprint triathlons (though my swimming is not pretty), and I’ve climbed the rock walls of Joshua Tree National Park. I’m always up for more adventures!
